BOWEN THERAPY COURSES – NEW STUDENTS
Considering learning the Bowen Technique?
Whether looking for a new career, change of direction or adding a new modality to what you currently practice, learning Bowenwork gives you a wonderful opportunity to work holistically with your clients.
This dynamic technique is easy to learn and can be applied with great effect immediately after the first class.
Why study Bowtech Bowen?
Having been the industry standard for Bowen therapy since it was first taught in December 1986, courses have been continually upgraded and brought into line with evolving standards of education in Australia.
Bowtech Bowenwork training has been granted national accreditation for both a Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy and Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy. Completion of either of these Nationally Recognised courses enables you to become an accredited Bowen practitioner.
Bowen Training Australia Instructors are dedicated to Bowen and committed to supporting you throughout your training.

Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy (22004VIC)
This course consists of two areas of study: ‘specialisation units’ comprising Bowen procedures and ‘common units’ of material essential to all professional therapists.
The ‘specialisation units’ comprise a series of seven two-day, hands-on training modules. Case studies, a student logbook and professional reflection assessment round out the ‘specialisation units’ requirement.
The ‘common units’ required to complete for the Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy qualification are: Anatomy and Physiology, Communication and Referrals, Administer a Practice, Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control and First Aid.
Note: These ‘common unit’ subjects are available by distance education from Border College of Natural Therapies (BCNT) and, if previously studied, an application for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be submitted.
Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy (22006VIC)
On completion of the Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy, practitioners can move forward into the higher qualification of Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy programme and/or select programmes of interest to explore from the extensive continuing education programme offered by BTA Instructors

‘A Taste Test’
Changing career, no previous bodywork experience and a little apprehensive?
Then Bowtech Module 1 can be taken alone as an introductory session. In this first module you will be introduced to the Bowen move and relaxation procedures and be exposed to the power of Bowen as a healing modality.
Contact any BTA Instructor and arrange to attend Module 1 as an Introduction to Bowenwork. If you enjoy the work and decide to continue, you can then enroll in the full Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy programme moving through Modules 2 to 7 – see above.
